4BIA

Sunday, January 18, 2009
The XB - Movie - Today I watched a a Thai movie called 4bia (aka See Prang, Phobia). The movie consists of 4 short movies that interlink to each other suttlely. But each short movie could be viewed as a stand alone short.

The movie was really scary and very well made although in the second short movie titled " Tit for Tat", the CGI was not upto mark but because the acting and story was really good, you'd forget about the CGI and still be freaked out. There will be moments you'd want to look away and definitely the moments where you would want to put the audio in mute. Overall I'd give this movie an 8/10. Definitely a good watch for a horror enthusiast.

Check out more information about the short movies at: 4bia @ Wikipedia

IMDB: See Prang

Airtel Sri Lanka

The XB- Opinion - Airtel finally arrived in Sri Lanka officially on the 12th of January 2009 but it has been nothing but dissapointing. Firstly, during the first week of January, started offering Number Bookings from all it's main offices in the country. I was among the many thousands who queued up in the hot sun outside their office for a chance to get a free sim and get the number I want.
After entering the Airtel premises in Baseline Road, me and my cousin 'booked' the 5 numbers we wanted and upon inquiring with an Airtel staff, we were told that within 48 hours they will get back to us with the package details and the availability of the numbers. But alas, no calls after 48 hours. Me been the optimistic one, I thought they would get back to us after the launch which was on the 12th. Nothing there either and today is the 15th of January.
I would like to say how displeased I am with the way Airtel carried out their task of handling new customers. Airtel got free publicity at the expense of the people who took time from their routine and putting their hopes on the new telecom provider. This was evident with the Airtel staff taking pictures of the long queued outside their offices. Secondly, they had placed an advertisement in the papers apologising for not contacting the customers who put their faith in Airtel. The least Airtel could've done is sent an sms and/or given a call and informed the customers that the number they wanted was not available, but that they could collect their sim at the branch they booked their number at. The way Airtel handled their new customers made us look like fools and this is not the way to impress potential new customers.

Ghost Rider

Friday, January 13, 2006
The Marvel Comic adaptation of Ghost Rider is set to come alive in 2007. As of now the official site has a sneak peak and what this character would look like. Nicolas Cage is Johnny Blaze aka the Ghost Rider. Johnny Blaze is a stunt motorcyclist who has to give up his soul to become a hellblazing vigilante, to fight against power hungry Blackheart, the son of the devil himself. (IMDB, 2005) Check the official Sony Pictures site at Ghost Rider Official page The official release date as of now is 16th February 2007. As for release dates in KL, its stil too early to tell and knowing censorship I have a feeling it just might pass on screening here but lets hope they don't. As for Colombo and Male', most likely you would have to catch it up once the DVD is released. The picture was used from IGN.com

ALIEN AUTOPSY - 2006

Thursday, January 12, 2006
A new movie from Warner Brother UK, Alien Autopsy, set to be out in April this year is exactly about what the title refers to. But however so far only a short teaser has been released on the official site. The teaser can be accessed from the official movie site which is: Alien Autopsy Official Movie site The release date for KL, Colombo and Male' are unsure at this moment. Once the information is available, it will be posted here. Another interesting link I came across while looking for other official information about the movie is this site. It talks about the so called "original" alien autopsy movie which is surrounded by much controversy. And it also explains how you can create your very own alien and carry out an autopsy on it! Get your camera.... 3... 2... 1... Action! If you're wondering at this point what the original alien autopsy movie is, well here it is. Google Video has the full length clip. To watch it you need to install Google Video Player which can be downloaded from Google Video site. I should let you know though that some might find the video disturbing so viewer discretion is fully advised.

An ALL NEW XSYKO Blog - Coming Soon

Tuesday, January 10, 2006
Hey everyone! I know I have been missing since few days before Christmas and after my Dopod article. And for whoever commented on it about camera been 1.22 megapixel, thank you whoever you are, but still its less than 1.3 eh? Anyways, I have been thinking of revamping The XSYKO Blog for sometime now. Hopefully in the next few weeks or so I will start work on it. The New XSYKO Blog would no longer look like a news site. It will feature things more onto the entertainment side which would be movies, music, happenings, clubs etc etc. This will be mainly for KL, Colombo and Male' for now and more countries will be added hopefully once the new site launches. Anyone who would like to extend their help, it will be more than appreciated, otherwise just thanx for been a supportive figure or for just been alive and reading this! Anyways, before I end, A very Happy New Year !!2006!! and for those who celebrate Eid, Eid Mubarak! For the Malaysians, Selamat Hari Raya! This is Keith for XSYKO Blog

The Dopod 900 and the O2 XDA Exec - Total Tech Mobility

KOOL GADGET'S - AN OVERVIEW Today I was spending sometime (a very long time; infact the longest I have spent in a bookshop) looking at magazines and books and videos and i came across the 2 most beautiful and cool gadgets I have ever laid my eyes on. They are the Dopod 900 and th O2 XDA Exec. Lets look at these 2 hot new entries into the gadget world. First lets check out the Dopod 900. This little mini computer which is referred to as a 3G sub note (note short for notebook am guessing) features 3G, Wifi capability, 1.3 mega pixel camera with a secondary 0.3 megapixel for communication purposes, Windows Mobile 5.0, QWERTY keyboard, mobile office and instant messaging capability. Basically in short, this is your ultimate office with an internet connection on your palm! This has just been released in Malaysia and currently a promotion which includes a 1GB memory card and a free bluetooth headset, the price of this babe is approximately RM42XX/- (Approx. USD.1050/-) Ofcourse these things don't come cheap! But hey, wouldnt you say for something like this, its totally worth it? I think so! Hehe.. And by the way, for you whose reading this, ahem, perhaps this is what I want for Christmas? (Hint hint...) For more information about the Dopod 900 visit the following link: The Dopod 900 Site Now for a look at the O2 XDA Exec. This babe's basically the same as the Dopod 900 too with features such as 3G, Wifi, Windows Mobile 5.0, QWERTY keyboard, mobile office and IM capabilities. But the camera is not 1.3 megapixel as the Dopod 900 but a XVGA camera (1280x960 pixels). And does not have a secondary camera for communication purposes. Other than that, the O2 comes in a smart looking black colour unlike the Dopod 900 which currently comes in Titanium black. But basically the appearance seems the same except for hardware differences. For more information about the O2 XDA Exec visit the following link: The O2 XDA Exec Site So, all i want for christmas is a Dopod 900, Dopod 900 a Dopod 900! ;)
